MsVivian from Adelanto, CA would not recommend this to a friend.
A Little About Myself | |
Pros | Will lift a large person to almost standing position |
Cons | uncomfortable |
Service & Delivery | I paid extra for the white glove delivery, don't do it. If you don't pay extra they drop off the box then call out professionals to assemble. If you pay extra the truck driver (who is clueless) tries to assemble it when he drops it off. My husband had to help him to get it to work. We found this out when the professionals came out because one side of the leg rest raises before the other side does, and they fixed one thing the delivery guy and my husband did wrong, but it still raises one side before the other. |
I have been using this chair almost two months. I wanted to use it awhile before reviewing. The chair is sturdy and appears to be well made. It lifts a large person to an almost standing position. But it is very uncomfortable and poorly designed. The seat of the chair is high and very deep. I am 5'8" and really I think it is more for someone over 6'2". The back of the chair is slanted in a semi recline even when sitting upright. There is no way to comfortably sit in the chair and lean back, all you can do is perch on the end of it with nothing behind your back at all. The two reclining positions are both basically laying down. There is no way to keep your feet up and still be even semi sitting up. If the feet are up you are lying down. Also, it is very hard, practically no padding. And the arms are very narrow, I have problems with my arms slipping off them. I would not recommend buying this chair unless you are both very large and very tall, even then I don't think it would be comfortable, just functional.
Lift Chairs replies:
Thank you for your review Ms Vivian. We're sorry to hear that you don't find the chair comfortable. It is definitely a firm chair and built to last for a long time. It sounds like you're not quite the right fit for this chair specifically. We have a number of delivery options available. It sounds like the white glove delivery would have been the best option for you. If you are still having issues with the chair, please call our customer service department, as we would like to make this right.
